FORMER RECORD LABEL BOSS AND ENTERTAINMENT ICON, TURNS POLITICIAN, ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR UPCOMING LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS.

The field has grown increasingly crowded as candidates formally begin campaigning for the 2016 Local Government elections. Former Boss of Soundnation/BMR and Benue Entertainment Icon; Ukpanya Michael Ternenge , has also joined the race to run for the 2016 Local Government Elections as Councillor representing Tongov council ward of Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.

Ukpanya Ternenge besides being a Former Record Label Boss is a business consultant and General Contractor, Executive Director of Oasis Foundation; a Charity Organization dedicated to helping the less privileged in the society, a graduate of political Science from the indigenous Benue State University. The Last child of Four in the family of Mr. and Mrs. J. I. Ukpanya, Ternenge runs a campaign based on Transparency and Positive representation of the People with the catchy campaign slogan ‘Ternenge Ichan Yese’ meaning ‘God has seen our Afflictions’.

In a statement issued by his Campaign Press Secretary, Hon. Ternenge Ukpanya said…

“We need new, fresh, bold and principled representatives who have the courage and conviction to recommit and adhere to the principles of Transparency and Justice. We need a representative whose motivation for seeking Political office is not driven by selfishness but, rather, the desire to serve the People as a public servant”

BUDEES: Okay, Am IORKONGUSU RICHARD also known as Budees, The ‘Sangaly’ Crooner.

 

NAIJAHITFACTORY: NICE, PLEASE WE WILL LOVE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT YOU, TELL US ABOUT YOUR EDUCATIONAL AND FAMILY BACKGROUND

BUDEES: Mmm! Yeah, My Educational background has always been sound, am currently studying Mass Communication at the Fidei Polytechnic. About my Family Background, I am from the extended family of Late Daniel .I. Numve, am the seventh child from my mother but the twelveth child of my father.

 

NAIJAHITFACTORY: LET US MOVE STRAIGHT TO YOUR MUSICAL CAREER, HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING MUSIC?

BUDEES: I started music in my primary school days but, my coming leap into professional music was around 2007/2008 when we were doing it with OD Woods.

NAIJAHITFACTORY: WELL SAID, TAKE US THROUGH THE CHRONICLES OF YOUR CAREER AS A MUSICIAN, HOW HAS THE JOURNEY BEEN SO FAR?

BUDEES: Well I appreciate God for everything because he is always there for me; else there are a lot of challenges like sponsorship, finances, no helping hand. I’ve been doing it all by myself, and yes! This is the area where every musician see music as a cross and make a choice to carry it or not but for me even at this, I still see myself the future of music, a musical legend. Currently, I have 3 singles buzzing around and few touches to complete work on my debut album ‘My Destiny’ so am glad I made it this far. Am ready to blow and I will not let any opportunity pass me by, never!

NAIJAHITFACTORY: YOU STARTED YOUR CAREER IN BENUE STATE, PLEASE WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT THE ENTERTAINMENT OVER THERE IN BENUE STATE?

BUDEES: Yeah… Music in Benue is on a hard ground. if you know what I mean, a lot artiste with much creativity. Yes! There are a lot of talents in Benue state but first the people are not that passionate about entertainment and artistes are not cooperating to build the industry and the Government also have to do some thing about entertainment in Benue state, Benue Artistes are good to go, they just need someone to push them forward. Truly if you can set up a good industry in here, you will discover legends, maybe with time; God will do something for Benue Music Industry.

 

NAIJAHITFACTORY: WHAT PLANS DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUR FANS IN 2016? WHAT SHOULD YOUR FANS BE EXPECTING FROM YOU?

BUDEES: A lot will come next year, first I will drop my album and the visuals for Sangaly directed by Clarence Peters hopefully, cause fans be asking of this on social media, so, so many good things will come but I will first fulfill their demand.

NAIJAHITFACTORY: PLEASE WHO ARE YOUR TOP 5 ARTIST IN BENUE STATE?

BUDEES: Benue top 5 Artistes, for me, I see Morrizo, as my first, then Rapizo, Budees The Sangaly Crooner, OD Woods and T-Young.

NAIJAHITFACTORY: ANY LAST WORDS FOR YOUR FANS AND READERS OF THIS ARTICLE?

BUDEES: Yeah sure, You know, as an artiste, you need the motivation of your fans cause you can not do it alone, so you guys should keep being there for me, I promise not disappointment You instead I will thrill you with a lot of good and quality works next year, and yes! MEET COMRADE ODE DAN IJWO (Hoha)

 

Ode Dan Ijwo also known as Hoha is a courageous, humble and selfless person as well as a benefactor who is aiming at improving the standard of living and infrastructural development in Oju local government area of Benue State.

He has gained a lot of experience through various social and public functions. His popularity among his contemporaries in Oju local government and the entire Benue South Senatorial District cannot be over emphasized.

He started his primary education at solid foundation nursery and primary school Oju, after which he proceeded to mount saint Michaels secondary schoo,l Aliade, where he obtained his Junior Secondary School Certificate. He spent a couple of years at the Special Science Secondary School Makurdi and finally got his Senior Secondary School Certificate from the Agba science academy of Yala North Local government area of Cross River State.

After four years of thorough learning, he finally graduated with a BSc. (ed) in integrated science education from the indigenous University of Agriculture, Makurdi. Also worthy of mention is his active participation in student politics and other social and extra-curricular activities in the school.

Ode Dan Ijwo has finally decided to channel his massive worth of knowledge and experience towards achieving a geometric pace of growth and development for his community and in extension; Benue State at large.
